Prayers for family of Steven Curtis Chapman

Prayers and heartfelt condolences to the family of Christian music artist, Steven Curtis Chapman, whose daughter, Maria, was tragically killed yesterday when the Chapman's teenage son ran over her in the driveway of their home. Maria is one of the little girls the Chapmans adopted from China. She was 5 yrs. old.

My heart goes out to the family, especially their son. Prayers for him, that he will not carry the burden of this, and for the entire Chapman family in this time of grief. :pray:

Yes, I heard it on the way in to meet you yesterday. I brought it up as a prayer request at Bible study, and was really disappointed that the Bible study leader didn't (wouldn't?) pray for them. I don't understand the mentality that somehow we are "different" (better? worse?) from someone, and that makes it OK not to pray for them.

I don't listen to his music, except when it happens to come on the radio station. But, I would probably recognize him in a store, as opposed to most of the people on here I pray for. So, why should it be this weird thing to pray for him and his family, who are going thru such a public tragedy? Even CNN has picked the story up.

Still very sad for them, and continue to pray. :pray:

When my husband told me of this I was inshock. I am still praying for the family and his son. God Bless Steven C. Chapen and his Family during this awful time.

Wow so tragic. I was so sad to hear this. My wife is a big fan of his and I have listened to some to and can't begin to imagine the pain. :pray::pray::pray::pray:
