We are planning on going to the Oregon coast this weekend and I wanted to know if there are any ponds or lakes with decent bank access for bass.

You are going to have to be a bit more specific on where you are going. There are hundreds of ponds and lakes along the oregon coast!

A couple out of Newport. PM me if you head that way. While working the other day, I saw a 5+# largemouth come out and attack the hose I threw in the water. Must have been close to her nest. The old guy on the bank said "thats a little one", then I watched it eat an 8-9" rainbow.

Dormans Pond outside of banks has some bass. Vernonia pond is only about 15 minutes off of Highway 26 and the bass ARE biting there pretty good

Some nice backwaters near Rockaway. Lake Lytle is good early in the year. Sunset Lake between Seaside and Astoria. Cullaby lake and a few small lakes along the road often have fish in them.

I really don't care to go to the beach but since I promised my wife I'd take her, I'll just have a reason to hit up all of these bass holes.

Sunset has almost zero bank access. The best bank access lake on the North Coast is Coffenbury. It has a nice trail around the entire lake.
