My Dad went to be with the Lord today

My wonderful Dad passed away this morning at 3:30. He was 89 last Saturday. He joined my Mother in Heaven. She preceeded him in death about 27 years ago. They gave their lives to Jesus and became Christians when I was two years old. Dad was an incredibly honorable and faithful man. He served the Lord without a single hiccup for 58 years. After Mom died, Dad re-married a wonderful lady, and they enjoyed 25 good years together. If you think of it, pray for her. She's doing well, but it will be lonely for her now that he's gone.

Sad to hear about the lose of your Dad Dave. On the the other hand it is great to know that he was one of Gods elect and he is now in a far better place, praise the Lord.

Dave, my prayers are with you and your family at this time of loss. Wonderful that he served the Lord faithfully and it is obvious that he and your mom did a wonderful job raising you as you too serve the Lord. 89 years is a good life and now he will live eternally with God in heaven. While we miss our loved ones here there is a great celebration on the other side.

I'll be praying for your stepmom. Our dad left us to be with his Savior just about a year ago. He was 95. Dad didn't come to know Jesus until he was in his eighties but what a devoted follower he became after that. The transformation our Lord promises was quickly evident in him and brought our family so very close together. Only through the love of Christ can these miracles happen. How good it is to know that we can both look forward to...as can all Christians... of being reunited together in the presence of our precious Lord and Savior. :throb:
