Went above Bonneville today for about 2 hours and caught 19. I had some work in the area so I took my boat with me. Water is too high below. When you found 1 you found several. Several times when I had a fish on near the boat you could see other fish chasing the hooked bass trying to get the bait out of their mouth. We caught all of them on spinner baits. Didn't matter what color. We didn't catch any big fish. Most all around 1 to 2 pounds. The fish are gearing up to spawn and are in shallow flats and coves off the main channel. Most of our fish were caught in an area about the size of my truck.

Was there heavy current up there? It seems like the water up there should really be rippin' about now. Did you put in on Oregon side or Washington? What kind of boat were you fishing out of(size and power)? We've had some good days up that way but we wait until it starts dropping a little. I usually launch at Cascade Locks. There are actually alot of people that bass fish out that way.

Yes, a lot of current. We were fishing out of the current though. I launched my 12 ft Smokercraft with 15hp on the Washington side. I didn't see anyone else fishing where I was. But I was only there for a couple of hours.

That's a hoot catching em on spinner baits. I took a nice one on a SB on Sunday. A lot of boats. Must have been a Tourney. Friday was a 10. Light breeze, and eager fish. I whish I could fish every day for the next week!

Man, so do I! I am tying to figure out how to get out of some work so I can go again. I think that I will camp out this weekend. Looks like the weather will cooperate. BTW, those spinner baits are the 99 cent ones from Walmart.
