Well got a kitchen pass for the day yesterday. Put in at spring cove and went down by mountian man. Looked like the water was coming up pretty fast. Got into the crappie, but all were under 8". Talked to a guy that had been fishing there for a week and that was all he was catching too. We did keep 13 each for a meal, try catfishing in the middle of day, not much luck. Temperature today was 96, hot for this old man. Will try lower brownlee next week, hoping to find bigger crappie Olg

Thanks for the report. I love camping/fishing in Brownlee particular Huntington and Oxbow but can only afford 1 trip a year so these reports are gas saver:flowered:

Very nice camping areas at Owyhee $14+ a night, green Grass, Trees, good Boat ramps, good fish cleaning station, a store with hot meals, even a couple t-pee style tents for rent, we stayed three nights in our Motorhome on the River below the Dam, primittive Camping w/outhouses, but no fee, also there is a Hot Spring on the River, Snively I think, nice pool to sit & relax in, temperature regulated by the river, it's about 13 miles from the Owyhee store, so we only used it on the way in Fri, & again on the way out Mon. Oh yeah! excellent Catch & release Brown Trout fishing can be had below the Dam, We werent prepared, as it's mostly a Fly Fishermen(person) in waders type scenario, Scuds were working I heard, I did manage to catch 1, lost 1 , & saw a big one chase my spinner, the first evening when we got there, tried a couple more times in the early morning, but they didn't want to play in the morning, I think it's a evening fishery, I was tempted to throw on a worm just for fun, & its legal, but I didn't. Good Luck! Have Fun.
