View Full Version : Dorena Lake ? Help !

Im new to the site, but have been reading for a while. I figured this is the best place to get questions answered. Well tomarrow morning (5/18) a buddy of mine and and i are going to fish dorena for bass. But the problem neither of us have ever fished it. So any info on what launch is best, What area to fish, and what to use would help alot. Also i notice the rivers are rippin with snow melt this weekend. Are there any area's of the lake that might be better to avoid the cold inflow? Does it even effect dorena that much ? any input would be great.

Here is the days catch that was worth the trip. 5.5lbs of pure fun. This was his personal best.

This was who's personal best?? I hope you're not referring to yourself in third party cause that's kind of creepy- he he :excited:.

Hagen, Im glad to see you guys landed one. It was pretty tuff fishing. the water had risen a bunch the last couple days. We saw a few fish cruising in a few areas. Saw a couple pigs one was over 8. I only had 3 hits for the day 2 on brush hogs the other was on a swim bait. The swim bait hit was a cool acrobatic assault from a pig but the hooks didnt take hold. cool lake i must say, i will fish it again im sure. maybe memorial weekend.
