Even with the warm weather, it's going to take a while for the bass to get active, much less spawn.
As of this morning the Willy was still only 50! The local Columbia, which is historically cooler (from what I've read) was 52 below the dam yesterday. I found some pockets a few degrees warmer but not many.
I've heard of two factors that affect the timing of the spawn. The water temperature over 60 degrees and then the next full moon cycle. So here's the question:
Will the major bass spawn be triggered by the next full moon cycle, next Monday, when the water temperature will be well below 60, or the following full moon cycle nearly a month from now, June 18, when the water is warmer but the timing much, much later than 'normal'?
