I'm planning some trips over to the Necanicum in August. Where do you fish for the Cutts and what flies do you use? Thanks in advance for the advice.

I like the bridge just off the left a few miles before the big spruce. If you want a bunch of water and easy access I would say to head for the spruce and walk from the lot. As for bugs? Reverse spiders are deadly.

I can show you a few spots if you have time to take a trip down there sometime before I leave Christopher!

Any "secret" if you really just wanna go for the bigger cutts? bigger size reverse spider? will they take streamers and buggers?

I don't know of any secrets...I've used big buggers and caught 5 inch cutts and I've used tiny nymphs and caught 15-20 inch cutts. I've caught small fish and big fish in the same water...to be honest I haven't noticed much of a trend.

Not sure about what part of the Nec to hit, but it should all be pretty good around the old spruce on up - egg sucking leeches work well for me on other coastal streams - reverse spiders as well. I dont think that the size of the bug will have much of an effect on these aggressive fish - they hit 3/0 salmon setups!

let us know how it is..

To be honest all you really need is something with a ton of action. They almost act like bass the way they attack. The more the bug does in the water the better you'll do. That's why I like the spider...

I will be in seaside in early july. If I have a chance to fish I'll let you know how I do. Anyone have an idea of when the searuns starts to show on the necanicum?

Take a pontoon or john boat and put in below circle creek campground, and float down to the golf course. Play with the tides and it is easy to row back upriver. As for flies I think everyone else has given good advice.
