Well I made it out to Suttle for some koke carnage with Slamminkokes otherwise known as Brian and Davy otherwise known as, well........Davy. Got on the water fishing by about 7AM. Wham! Got into them quick. I had the hot hand early with about 12 in 20 minutes. Then Brian whacked a few after missing a few. Davy got 1 or 2, a slow starter. About 9AM we counted 47 in the box. Then about 11 Brian nailed about 15 on 20 casts. Davy even got a few to the boat. The last dozen took a while as the bite cooled. http://www.ifish.net/gallery/data/500/medium/IMG_0303.JPG (http://www.ifish.net/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/77133/size/big/cat//ppuser/8168) Raidersteve came over for a few pointers and words of encouragement. We were on the dock by 12:30 for the board meeting.

We had a little disagreement the last hour or so as to the count so we erred on the side of a low guess. Final attendance at the board meeting was 72 because, well, we can't count very well. I don't think we will miss the last 3. A great day on the water with 2 fellow ifishers!!
Hey!! I got a cpl!!?!! Obviously you shared that special fish "sauce" with Brian, I don't rate. Oh well. What a day. Great to get out fishing again with friends and good fisherman! Misery factor = ZERO.

Well after one whole day watching moknots slam the kokes at suttle and me not gettin a one. I read the post for the next few days at suttle and more carnage. I plan a trip up for 5\2 after I drop kids off at school and be back at 3:30 to pick them up. So get on the water at about 9:45 and I know I have to pull off no later than 2:30, but with the advise I got from moknots I have new found confidence. and I know fish on bend is going to be there.
After fishing for about 1 1\2 hours and watching fish on bend slam them. I am starting to doubt my fishing abilitys. (jigging) Right before I am ready just to give up, I get the wave over from fish on bend. "Ok lets see what you got going" he says "well thats good and thats right well try this" he encourges me to move over into another spot. and I do, but for one more hour nothing. man I must be just flat out missing the srtike or somthing. just then I notice fish on bend pulling anchor and heading out . As he is leaving he points back to where he was fishing as to say try that spot. Ok well I got about an hour left to kill so I move over to the spot. as I slide in my fish finder just goes off. I drop anchor and after three cast WHAM!!!!!!! oh the sweet feel of the strike, the pull of the fish, and now I can see the fish at the boat just as it pulls off the hook. Oh well at least I got the feel, now I have some confidence and was rewarded even if only for 45 mins. it was well worth the wait :meme:

WOW!! Another outstanding board meeting! Just read your post on the site to the south also. I was wondering how you keep track of the fish count? Seems like some type of a counter would be needed, especially if there are 3 or 4 people in the boat fishing! Again, nice job fish-on-bend!

Very nice job! I was there last Sunday, got there late but caught a nice 18" German Brown trolling for Kokanee. Going back this Saturday to try it again. Could you tell me the type of jigs you were using and their size?
Thanks.

way to go guys, nice to see smiling faces and thumbs up to the fishing at suttle. the little lake has suffered through some "small times" the last few years and maybe thats not going to be the case for a few years more.

Dave,
If you think they look good, they taste twice as good as they look. Once you go Kokanee, you'll never want to eat trout again.

Fish On Bend(Joe) an I never have that luck together. In fact, we have been known to shut down entire watersheds when we are on the water together. I was at Jewell Meadows this weekend, so of course, Suttle was on fire.:D
Nice work guys!!!!!
