Well finally made it to suttle with my buddy snailwalker and ezra! Made it out on the water by 6:30am and walked right into a good bite! We were the kings, of course we had the lake to ourselves, then this guy named MARSHWORM shows up with his friend, and puts the hammer down on the kokanee, like i've never seen! Here's him on the bow, wackin a koke i'm sure

joemomma you be like the suttle paparozzi!! Great report and thanks for the kind words. It WAS unbelievable huh? ...took me and Don longer to drive up and back home than it did to reek havoc on our "little silver suttle buddies". From what I saw You n' snailwalker inflicted some major carnage as well.
And.... you have laid to rest past doubts of 14" suttle kokes. Saw you land that one. Didn't exactly want to get in your boat joemomma but you did a great job "sweet talkin'" him in.
It was kind of a ifishers gatherin' with you, snailwalker, fall river guy and of course the infamous moknots.
Thanks again for the report jomomma and the last tip I have for you is when you pass through Idanha on the way home stop at the store there....they got the best mountain huckleberry ice cream!!! Tops off a great day!!!
can't help but to look forward to tomorrow., after seeing all this carnage! Just hope there be a cpl left.:meme:
Nice post,

Nice post and nice meeting you! Showing up at 9am was not ideal, but worth it for the honor of fishing with FRG, world renowed Wickiup expert! Took twice as long to limit starting that late, but the ,little buggers still cooperated. What a nice day!

I would love to catch half that many. Can you tell me if you were jigging or trolling? I don't have downriggers, but I am assuming they may not be required this early??
Thanks for any tips...

Thanks for taking me out on the kokanee slaying pontoon Moknots. It was the perfect day to break-in my new jigging/bait fishing rod. I fell just shy of 25 fish boated, or kept in the boat. I had a heck of a time swinging the fish into the cooler and finally had to resort to netting because of the number of fish I lost. Besides, my grade for my technique, which Moknots graciously announced after each of my clumsy attempts, was about a C-. It was nice meeting all of you on the water.

I forgot to ask. FRG - How did you like that Berkley Tactix rod? One or Two piece? I'd like to pick up a couple new rods for jiggin' this year.
Oops - You already answered that in the Jiggin Rod post - Sorry
