I am looking for the smallest possible, left hand, level wind or spincast with a line counter. I looked at two during lunch and both were big enough to put on the front of my pickup.
My use will be jigging. The line counter is not so important to me in the shallow depths, but I think it would be helpful at the depths I will need to go at Odell and sometimes at Green Peter.
Anyone have any suggestions???

Ya, give up....we lefties are not in the trolling equation.
I only fish lefties and have been looking for lefty line-counters for a long long time. The only "affordable" lefty line counter I can find it the Okuma Convector. It's not that great and it's also fairly large(Abu 6500 size). I have one(for lack of other options) but would not give it any praise. The only other one I know of is the Daiwa Millionaire IVC series sold only in Japan. They have a digital line-counter on top and come in left hand and in several sizes(including a very small one). The good, they are reels of the HIGHEST quality and will cast fantastic.....the bad, they will set you back a small mint, $500!!!

You could always mark your line at 5' increments? Maybe a Sharpie would work. Of course, you could always just notch your line. :D

I use lefty reels too. Good luck and let us know if you find one.
You can always try putting one of those $10-$15 clip-on counters on the rod itself. Not as accurate, but if you have your heart set on having a line counter...

Yeah I've looked for a reel fitting your description for sometime now with no luck. The smallest line counter that I'm familiar with is the tekota 300lc, but its only in right hand and not even that small. I'm thinking of trying the clip on type line counters this year so I know much line I have out, even if its not quite exact. I just got an abu 4601 that is modded as seen in arimaryan's post. Can't wait to try that baby out!
