Yesterday my buddy and I go up to Suttle. Not a long drive and when we get there we find just 2 other boats on the water. So we head out and as soon as we clear the bouys we start to troll / look for fish. I had heard that the kokes at suttle like the jig. So I want to troll till I find them .Well we get to the other side of the lake and we see a couple of guys in a pontoon two seater boat. casting and catching, just about every cast . Ok I look for a far enough place away and drop anchor. grab the casting rods, tie on a pink gibbs and start casting and casting and casting but no catching and these guys are just riping lips. I tied everything I had in the box and nothing . Wow that was hard to take. Now I have never been much of a jigger and hold my own trolling, but this year i will become a better jigger ..................so any advice I:redface: will humbly take it

I think this might be the boat, and the fish you are talking about! Check his other posts for further help...

twisted...the guy in the pontoon boat only jigs when and where the fish are jiggable..do as RaiderSteve suggests....

now for advise... get a decent fish finder.....learn how to use it...believe what it is tellin' ya.....and put the jig above the fish.........in the color they want......and above all have fun!

Practice -- it sure took me a while to get the hang of it! The trick is letting the jig fall as close to free of line resistance as possible, without loosing track of it. Stike FAST at the slightest hesitation, side movement, slack, or tick. You need really quick reaction time. Jigs are hard and they drop them really quick. Say howdy next time.
