I am thinking about heading up to Detroit tomorrow night after work for a couple hours of fishing. Most likely, I will be bank fishing from either the dam or Hoover campground. Has anyone been up there lately and know if it is up to a full pool yet? Hows the fishing been? Thanks all.

Made two trips by Detroit this past week end on way to kokanee heaven. Saturday morning didn't appear to be that many out and about. Camp ground wasn't close to full. Looked to be about 20 feet shy of full pool. They are unsure when and how fast the huge snow pack is going to come out so they can't have it full and get a bunch of warm weather. Sunday there was a few fishing from the bank at Hoover but few boats. I think the rampp at mongold is still a little rough to use. A couple of guys from town fished from the dam on Sunday and di well for average planters. Water still has that cold color to it. good luck

I launched my 21' seahawk at the Mongold launch on Saturday (4-26) with no issues. They have 2 lanes open and the docks are in. You could see the end of the concrete but the trailer was no where near the end of the ramp when launching or retrieving the boat. Fishing was even pretty good.

All the launches are open now. Fishing was superb, if you like catching planter trout. Just long-lining black/nickel blade rooster tails landed 56 CR trout in about 6 hours of fishing on saturday. Observed the lake rising about 6-8 feet througout the weekend.
