I just wanted to send out a thanks for everyone that responded to my pleas for help on getting started in this fishery. Even though we were skunked, it was nice to be out on LBC and get to see that lake. The guy that went with me was a geologist in his prior life and I learned a ton about the rocks in that area. Tight lines to everyone this season!
Thanks
Paul

Geologist eh? Maybe next time you might consider taking a "fisherman." LBC is such a neat place, I normally fish it all winter when there are only a few hardy (crazy) souls out there.

FOB You calling me crazy? Great picture, you should put one up with four foot whitecaps so we can keep the lake to ourselves:D.
I have a geologist/geological engineer that I fish with from time to time, those discussions can be interesting and can eventually get intensely boring. Definitely makes you try even harder to catch fish after a couple trips. You have to ask your friend about leveright and Indian love stones:wink:.

Not nearly as bad as New Years day 2006 when I very nearly sank my 17 1/2 foot Smokercraft. Which is why I have the boat I have now.

Actually there should have been two fisherman in the boat..:)
I asked my friend about indian love stones....are those thunder eggs?....sounds like it is a local term for the eggs???

Nice picture, everytime I am out there in that kind of weather my butt is puckered and hands are squeezed so tight I could not take a picture if I had to:eek:.
Funny about the Indian Love stone, no it is not a reference to thundereggs, I was actually in the Palouse region when that term was explained to me. It is a somewhat off-color term so I will just define the leverite and know the Love stone is similar albeit more crude in meaning.
Ask the geologist what is a leverite, the response is "leave 'er right there":D
