hi all
im heading to linclon city on the oregon coast for new years.
I have a steelhead rod. and rumore has it im getting wadders for christmas. Plus it will be a good time for my dad and I to fish togeather.
is there any good spots to fish for winter steelhead around that area?

there maybe a few fish in salmon. or you could go to the siletz a friend of mine went there thursday and friday and caught fish at moonshine park

Go to Moonshine on the Siletz or up to Three Rivers/Nestucca to the north.

The Salmon River has a hatchery, but they only do salmon, and summer steelhead for the Siletz. The winter steelhead are wild there. I stopped by there Friday, and the river was in good shape, very good color. Three Rivers is very crowded early in the run, so if you go there, go early and wear Depends, because if you leave for a potty break, you'll lose your spot. The Nestucca may or may not be in shape by then. It was still very muddy Friday, even though it had dropped considerably in the previous three days.
