I was hoping someone could provide some info as to what this drift is like, what type of gear to run, take out etc... I've always paid my buck and fished the highbank/pipeline holes below the mouth of 3 rivers, but have never gone below here. The water looks pretty mellow, and I was wondering if their is any character to the river down below the highbank hole. How long is the drift, and is it a possibility for a double drift? Shuttle from Ron ?

Thanks for the help.

You have to take out at Cloverdale, the next takeout would be in tidewater. The water is pretty mild, if you have any rowing experience at all you will be OK. There is some plug water and some good drift water. Yes you would use the Hebo sports shop for a shuddle.

Easy drift all the way to Cloverdale. Make sure you take a bobber and jig rod. Some really good slow holes for jigs.

The take out is in Cloverdale on the left a few hundred feet below the bridge. It takes a few hours to drift? Ron does shuttles (503)392-4269.

The hatchery (w/ volunteers) recycled 1200+ BRIGHT fish back to Tidewater this week alone. The guys on Three Rivers are catching quite a few recycled fish so I guess some do bite the second time up.

I don't steelhead fish much so I won't attempt to answer your other ?'s.

Thanks guys, the info is much appreciated. I think I'll be there instead of the boat crazy WIlson and lower Kilchis.

Does anyone remember the last time these streams were at or near "perfect" ?

FISH ON for Everyone
