Now that I have the supervee, I need an anchor for it. Will one anchor fill all my needs or will I need a pyramid and one of the folding typr with a ball lift type with the chains? Who has the best prices on anchors around Portland?

I have a 20 boat and found one anchor meets my needs; a Willamette style 35 pounder with an 8 foot heavy chain, 400 feet of rope and a large ball with retriever. I also have a 40# folding anchor, but it is more trouble than it's worth and it doesn't work nearly as well as the Willamette rocking chair style anchor. I bought the Willamette anchor at G.I.Joe on sale for a price that Fisherman's told me was below cost. Watch for a sale!

I thought you already had the Willamette style anchor and ball retreival system. For rivers you need about 50 ft. of good braided rope and a 35lb pyramid anchor. Oh, you also need anchor boy from Utah to work it.

ouch spooled! right through the heart, or driveway for that matter. I'll be carefull not to back into your mini truck in the parking lot.

At least the ford would get the job done, what ever it is!

Gus, is a mini-truck a real truck? You would probably back over it instead of into it.
Which one is it that sinks like a rock? Or something like that.
** What is an oxie morron? could it be the term mini-trunk?
Sorry, I just couldn't stay out of this one. I really like the chevy commercial where the guy leaves the car in neutral and lets his boat and chev truck roll down the ramp into the water and it pulled out by a Ford. The wife says" It sure sunk fast" or something like that and the Ford driver that pulls them out said "Yeah, like a Rock"

Snapshot,

I have a Willamette Style Anchor that was made for me when I was going to buy a big sled. Well I never bought the boat, so I have this brand new anchor w/ 6' of chain, and no boat to use it with. I would sell it for what it cost me. If you're interested e-mail me. The same anchor is used my several friends on their boats, the biggest being a 22' Weldcraft jet boat, this boat weighs 5800#, and this anchor holds it just great.
