I was jonesing for some fishing so I went up Tuesday evening after work. As the weather was terrible (downpour and cold) I found that I had the entire dam area to myself and didn't see anyone fishing. I caught 15-17 fish with all but 3 of them being planter trout. The three other ones were small landlocked chinook. I was only catching and releasing but the bait of the day for me was worms and garlic corn. I think just about anything would have worked though. I didn't get anything of any size but it was a nice ego boost just to catch a few. It might be a good time for those of us with little kids to take a trip. I plan on going back on Saturday with my 10 year old son.
