Hey Ifishers,

I am looking for someone to join Bonnie and myself on the Wilson Christmas morning. I like running a third rod out of the boat when I float from Mills to Sollie. We will launch around 8:00 am and take out early to mid afternoon. I have all the gear, the only conditions are you will have to bring your own lunch, you will have to meet us at the Guide Shop and help shuttle vehicles, and you will have to catch fish. If anyone is interested let me know.

Nice offer Dan, best of luck to you. Let us
know what we missed and if you see Santa out there.

I would like to thank rainrshine for volunteering to give up his Christmas day to fish with us. It was a pleasure having him along and fishing with him.

We had a nice sunny day but the easterly wind had a little bite to it. I was extremely disappointed that I could not get a Christmas steelhead for rainrshine or Bonnie. The bite on the Wilson had been good until that darn easterly wind kicked in which made it very difficult to fish. Rainrshine had two take downs one of which had the hooks into the fish long enough that I thought we had it. The fishing was tough for us, though. The wind was to strong to pull plugs against and a huge belly formed in your line if you tried to drift fish.

There were 6 to 8 drift boats on the river and a couple of the boats that we talked to had picked up fish, but there wasn't anything red hot going on. I think there are fish in the system, it just wasn't my day. Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas - I sure did.
