Hey guys and gals, thanks for all the info regarding my spinner blade question. I took your advice and i'm attending BC Angling's spinner class soon. I'm sorry i don't know the gentlemans name who owns it, but i've met him at shows and i'm sure i'll learn alot. Q-- plan on fishing this weekend and i'm not quite sure of what kind of water is considered good spinner water? Gonna be on the coast (Wilson,NF Nehalem, Etc ) any suggestion would be great. Thanks Alot
KEEP A TIGHT LINE!!!!

I like fishing spinners and spoons in tailouts and flats that are 3-6 feet deep and bouldery. I don't like fishing them in areas where there is a broad featureless run unless I know there are LOTS of fish around.

For me, spinner water is any water that is not too fast to let the spinner sink down to where the fish are and to be presented slow enough for fish to react to it and not too snaggy to lose all of my gear. That leaves an awful lot of water to fish.
I prefer to spinner fish and can catch fish on spinners in water most people would plunk or drift. I really like fishing spinners in slow to medium speed riffles for steelhead. Drifting spinners through riffles can produce quite well if you cover the prime holding water thoroughly and methodically and fish 1-2 feet off the bottom.
