Yamaha 115 cutting out

I got a 2003 yamaha 115 and once in a while it will cut out as if I lose fuel for a second and then goes again. Its only for a split second and always when I'm on step. I have checked all the fuel lines and cannot find any problems or holes. Then once in a while it will do it but totally kill the motor and it slides to a stop. When it does this, it blows a fuse, the one the controls the fuel pump. Has anyone had this happen to them? Is it because my fuel pump is going out and once in awhile it sucks too many amps and blows a fuse?

I would suspect a restriction in the fuel delivery or possibly the ignition system ...

If it were my boat I'd double check all the fuel pump related wiring, and if that's all good, put a new pump in it. High pressure fuel pumps tend to overheat and blow fuses sometimes when they are about to call it a day.
