Replacing the shear pin on my Minn Kota?

I think I broke the shear pin on my Minn Kota today. Does anyone know how to get the prop off?

It's got a lock nut and the shaft has a screwdriver slot but I don't know how to get a socket on the nut and hold the shaft with the screwdriver?

Use a deep socket, slip the screwdriver through it and use a pair of pliers on the socket. Should work fine, as it has for me in the past.
