Status of Marmot Dam Area?

I have fished the Marmot area for winter steelies for over 20 years. However, have not fished it since the "SAND" arrived. What a change!! Anyone fish the area last year for winters and willing to talk about it. I will gladly trade past success tips in exchange for current information. You can email me privately is you wish. i was up there this summer and the holes were choked full of sand. if there's one good thing about all the rain we've gotten of late it's that all of that sand has to be moving out of there. looking forward to getting back up there next year for spring chinook.
