My brother and I have an old Eastside drifter that needs to be refinished. The fiberglass is Blue and we don't think buffing it will be enough to get it looking good again.

Can we paint the fiberglass? If so,what do you recommend for paint?

My buddy works at a collision shop so he will paint it for us at work.

Sure, any marine paint will tell you on the can how to prep your fiberglass surface for painting.

I don't have any experience spraying it, but I like Interlux Brightsides for brushing. You can get a very nice finish with several thin coats applied with a foam or natural bristle brush, light sanding between coats.

I have had excellent results with Petit Easypoxy as well. You really can't tell it's been brushed on unless you look up real close. Good color selection, available at Joes, Fisherman's and West Marine.
