Has anyone been fishing the lower Columbia for sturgeon? Maybe below Kelly point on down to Trojan. Tired of the drive to the Fishery, only to fight the wind, lousy ramp and parking and the rude people that run the place.
Any recent info appreciated.

There are fish to be caught around the Kelley Point area. I fished Frechman's bar a couple of weeks ago and found a few fish that were willing to bite. I hear ya about the fishery. You would think that the absurd amount the people charge for launching and old rotten bait, they would improve the ramps a little bit. I fish there on weekdays but I try to stay away on weekends due to the lack of parking and the cruddy ramp and attitude that seems to linger about. I am heading out on Sunday and will post a report on my return.
