I dont know if this is the correct place for this request, possibly in classifieds but i need to find someone to wrap a 756 harrington blank for me. it is the rod my father gave me when i was 12. we picked it out at larrys sportings goods in gresham if i remember right, in 1970. it has been wrapped twice and i want to do it over again. Since i lost my father this has become one of my most treasured posessions, since not only is it an awesome rod but it has special memories of all those salmon fishing trips with dad. anyway, if i could get a referral or an opinion on who to hire it would help. im looking for a top grade artist who charges a hell of a lot because its worth every penny!!! honestly i wanna do it up nice so when i go to the great plunking hole in the sky, i can pass it on to my son.
thank
paul

I read that there is a Lamiglas rod builder workshop on Apr11-Apr12. There will be many rod builders there...
How about "Olie Dam*" shop in Portland. The shop will do custom wrapping. I know there is a shimano shop in Clackamas that do custom rods. I am not sure about price?
C'mom rod builders....

Take a look through the posts here with pictures - you'll see what sort of work a particular person is capable of doing than contact them to see if they would be interested. I'd also do the same thing on Rodbuilding.org. Some guys do bang up diamond butt wraps some do some really ornate things with snake skin and diamond wraps, others specialize in marbling or tiger wraps or inlaid wood handles.
You could also call Anglers Workshop - they have cards on a peg board for local rod builders.
Sounds like a nice project - shoot us some pics when you get done with it
