I have heard some good report about three rivers. I would assume it is blown out right now. Anyone doing any good? An informant of mine was up there last week saying he was clockin the fish left and right. Any truth? Thanks.

C&E,

While the mainstem of the Nestucca has been blown, Three Rivers remains fishable very much of the time. And as of now, it is very fishable and full of hatchery chromers! Get down there! It looks to be a very good season.

Good Luck!

Definantly fishable, fished two hours yesterday, saw three, landed one.

I was there on Saturday and the river was high, color was perfect. I saw one guy at the hatchery with two on the bank and that was all I saw. I tried to fish some out of the way areas that tend to hold fish but all I found were some trout. I also tried a variety of techniques but gave it up when the rain hit. The seam down at the mouth looked mighty inviting for some plunking.

Thanks for the info everyone, sounds like about what I had been hearing. How much longer will those babies be there? I can't go until after the 15th. :depressed:

Glad to hear the positive reports guys. Thanks.

Seems like last year they started recycling them back down around the third week of december, but then again we didn't have as much water and the fish were a little bit later. All the fish I saw there were chrome bright, I don't think you'll have to worry about them not being there by the 15th. Should be good throughout all of december

I just got done talking to Mark Traynor, Cedar Creek Hatchery Manager. As of this moment, 363 steelhead have been recycled and the trap is plugged-full right now at the hatchery. This is ahead of schedule for this early in the season, it looks to be a very good run!

I went to Three Rivers this morning with my son. The river was high, somewhat cloudy, but it was fishable. Only saw one landed, a native. We didn't get any bites.
