How long did you make yours ???
Just measuring from the stock stop position it looks like it should be about 3 1/2 " long ... :shrug:
Just thought I would ask before hacking it off with the chop saw ... :smash:

I used the whole length on my T8, just slip around the tilt ram and lower until it stops. So far so good.
