i was real surprised by the power when i bought it gets out of the hole quick and can run w/ inboard until you start to really load it full of people and gear, but it will do 38 mph full of fuel and 2 guys

My 20 ftr. does 64 mph full of fuel gear and 2 people with a little 317 hp 350 chevy ...

ive had two 355 hp inboards in 19 and 20 ft. boats and never saw over 45mph and two race boats w/ 600 pound hulls that took 550 hp to get to 75mph the gps dont lie!

I can attest to the speed of the 175hp SJ. He ain't fibbing! I have 19' Thunderjet set up the same way and running wide open (5500) I'll avg the mid 30's. I also have it set up with a fuel flow, running about 3500 RPM I'll get about 3.5 miles to the gallon.

I also have a 19 ft thunderjet with a 175hp sportjet. GPS says it will do a solid 38 mph upriver and 43 mph downstream on the big C. That is loaded with gear and 2-3 large 250+ lb guys in the boat. I also have a fuel flow meter and get 3.5 mpg at 4500 rpm's doing aproximately 30 mph. Of course at WOT 5500 rpm's doing 38-42 I am getting just over 2 mpg.

19' Alumaweld Stryker with a 175 sj - WOT is 43 mph GPS at 5600 rpms, cruise is about 4000 rms giving 30 mph

I believe the Sportster and the Thunderjet are slightly heavier boats than the Stryker
