I took my boat out for the shakedown cruise and noticed alot of noise on the suface area of my sonar screen. I am not sure how to filter it out. HELP

There should be a setting for surface clutter .... If there is a lot of debris floating or boat traffic its hard to get out sometimes ...

Set the surface filter to medium or better and you may have to play with the sensitivity. I have the same unit and anything less than about 8 ft in the salt has surface clutter.
