If for example there was a good deal on counter rotation motor, what problems would it cause if installed on the boat.

I'm no expert, but the prop has to turn one way or the other, so I tihkn there shouldn't be any. Use the little fin under the anti-ventialtion plate to conteract the prop torque, just in your case it would be turned opposite of most other outboards.

I agree, be aware you are limited to stainless propellers and their cost.

Also your transducer would be mounted on the other side of the motor from a RH motor.

There may be some increased cost of parts and props...

In terms of performance you'd notice no difference.
