Anyone in the Astoria or Seaside area know how the rivers are looking. I am thinking the rivers should be dropping and fishy if it does'nt rain too much tonight?
I was at the coast this morning ... the rains had started, but the rivers looked pretty nice: a little high, a little cloudy, but very fishable. However, about 11:30 a nasty, cold squall blew through and the forecast is for more. Watch the charts and wear rain gear ... no reason not to give it a shot unless things really blow out.
On an unrelated note, everywhere I went in Tillamook county I saw damage from the last storm; barn roofs peeled back, bare sheathing where shingles and siding had been blown away. My heart really went out to these guys heading into the wet season with serious damage to contend with. Didn't see a single smile on the faces of the folks standing on top of their buildings, trying to seal them back up.
