don't mean to rub it in, but i've got the next two weeks off and i'm looking to get some fishing time in.

is the hospital hole still holding chinook this time of year? how's the pressure?

are there any other spots on either the wilson or the trask that are likely for chinook where i'm not very likely to have a gun stuck in my face? (i don't mean to slam on these two rivers, but folks i've talked to of late say that this has been a problem, at least in the past.)

I've had they past two weeks off, and I'd MUCH RATHER be working!

If you want to go to the Hospital Hole, you would likely have the entire place to yourself! You're not going to find much in there this time of year, although at times, the sculpin bite can be hot!

If you're interested still in Chinook, I'd suggest the Wilson or the Kilchis as your best bets for a late-season King. On the Wilson if I were on the bank, I would concentrate on the lower river where you can find access. The hole below the guide shop would be a good place to start.

For the most part, the Trask is pretty much a done deal, especially in the tidewater area's.

But, if it were me I would target Steelhead (there's going to be more of them present then Chinook) and if I caught an incidental late Chinook, then YIPEE!

I've only heard on one incident all Fall where a gun was displayed on a local river, and that problem was solved. I really don't think you need to worry about anyone shoving a gun to your face, unless you're trespassing!

i hope that no one takes offense at the gun comment. the folks i've been talking to haven't fished these rivers in a few years specifically because of the issue. glad to hear it's been taken care of. i think i will give the hole below the guides shop a try. i've heard a lot of good things about it this season.

thanks for the info.
