So I was complaining about not being fired up for by God lately or for God or whatever. Well with some help from the people on here, things do get better....:flowered:

I was on the phone tonight with college buddy who has been in the same boat and has been one of my drinking and such buddies for quite a while, but he gave it all up and turned back to God not long ago.:applause:
I haven't been able to make the 360 as well. He is getting me fired up in a hurry! We are checking out this huge youth church think in Tuallitin friday night instead of other worse decisions. There's supposed to be over 1000 kids there. :dance:Then he told me about a bible study in Corvallis he goes to now and of course I'm going next week too. :bearhug:
Here's the best part.....my best fishing buddy asked me weeks ago if I wanted to go to Mexico in May to help build a church and preach and I said no because of school.:berry: I just called him back and committed the money to go! I don't have the money or the time, but I have the faith. I missed a lot of school to fish last term and passed all my classes. Won't God give me the strength to pass them this term if I'm trying to further his kingdom?:pray:
THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I'VE BEN STOKED ABOUT WHAT GOD IS DOING IN MY LIFE THAT I CAN EVER REMEMBER! It's all about stopping the talk and walking the walk. I LOVE GOD AND THANK YOU JESUS FOR THE FAITH!

We just went through a community event called Rachel's Challenge. She was the first young lady that was killed at Columbine High School. She was the one that was asked, "if she still believed in her God now", after being shot 3 times. When she replied yes, she was shot one last time.

We lived about 2 miles from Columbine HS and had friends kids who were injured during that event. My family was there finishing school while I worked in Idaho. I think of her often when I have something difficult in my life. The courage to live by one's convictions while confronting immediate death. Leads me to reflect on how strong I might be in similar circumstances. None of us may ever know that answer, because we will never be confronted with that situation.

The stories that unfolded this past week during the community event were of an amazing young lady who lived her life in a spiritual way. I am getting to be an old grumpy man, but I can think back on people who have influenced my life spiritually. It has not been the person who talks the most, it is how they led their lives and conduct themselves that has been the most influential. It has been a handful at best.

Now that you have publically acknowledge your new found path, be one of a handful for the people who share their lives with you.
