Are there any good shops that carry all the supplies you need to build a rod, in the Portland area. I know of Anglers in Woodland but wanted to see if there was anything closer in the Portland area. Thanks

I haven't seen much in terms of selection.
GI Joes does carry basic rod repairing parts, but I wouldn't expect a selection.
Sportsmans...nope, they don't carry any.
Last place I would check is fishermen's...but even they are limited with supply.
It's either Angler's workshop or online.

Yep I had looked at all those places but wanted to find somewhere that carried it all. Thanks for the response.

Hi,
For rod building supplies in the Portland area, check with "The Great American Tackle Shop". There address is available if you want to send me a PM. They are in Green House Square Shopping Center across 82nd street from Fred Meyers.
Thanks
Mike

There was a spot in the Milwaukie area if I remember right that carried Batson products more than anything else, but they were higher than Angler's and others in price. I was getting better deals at Angler's even counting shipping or my gas.
