Whats word on Big Creek anyone ?

Was wondering if anyone has been down to big creek or if anyone has heard what kind of shape the creek is in ? or if its open i dont have a fishing regulation book on me and was just hoping someone could give me some info Thanks......Garret

As far as I know big creek closed to fishing oct 31. I stopped by to take a look at it a couple of days ago and the rains have swelled it up quite a bit, water is really flowing and muddy. Most people that go there probably know the big log that crossed the creek, well the water's flowing pretty fast and pushed it to one side so it's parallel to the other side, looks like a diffrent place :shocked:

That flow is good news if it pushed the log then it must have cleared out all the dead stinking fish bodies. It was unfishable and unpleasant to just be there. The sculpin and pikeminnow population will have had a feast. Low warm water of Sept. was killer for these fish. Lets hope the seelhead run is good.

Ifish list the phone number to the Big creek hatchery on the front page. I think it gives recording how many fish are in so far and river cond. Good Luck :smile:
