unfortunately Im not suprized . theres pharmec%$#@&^ls in the drinking water . by the way polychlorides arent just in the columbia they are in any type of plastic thats flexible , its a preservative for plastic. every day products in are cars and homes . Youve seen dash boards that become brittle , the polychlorides basically left the plastic loosing its flex, and into the atmosphere of your truck . or that brand new plastic shower curtain that reeeeks new plastic its actually the odor emitted from the polychlorides . and so on . what about pvc (polyvynllchloride) supplies our homes with drinking water as well as exiting waste which when it rains excessively it dumps into the willamette which dumps into the big C .

This sounds like a pretty well defined area near the Dam resulting from PCB laiden transformers. A bigger issue from a regional standpoint are the ubiquitous mercury levels in the CR Bass and even the Pacific salmon. Sources include precipitate from Coal fired power plants, cement plants and perhaps our rains coming from China. This PCB legacy toxic issue from utilities is hopefully more confined than merc. and plastics.
