McNary final trip 11-23-01

[FEAR NO FISH!]

Had to go it alone again as my fishing buddy was too sick to go. Even a triple irish creme latte couldn't get him motivated. He didn't miss much as I only had one hookup and landed a 10 pound native. I got to see an excellent showing of the Northern lights. Finally, I can start going perching. All in all, my boat hooked 216 steelhead and landed 156. All since September 1st. A season to remember. Perch, Mmmmmmmmmm!

Thanks for the opportunity to have fished with you a few weeks ago.
I'll never forget my first hook up at night, and looking for that fish as I reeled it in. The first thing I saw, was the omninous flashing red eye of a sci-fi jaws-creature surfacing from the deep!

Lucky for us it just a steelhead with a flashing Vortex lure in it's mouth. 'Twas an unexpected and humerous sight to behold . . . and tasty too!
