Hey people I have got to get in some fishing in its been a long work session and im do.Im hopeing by tomorrow the rivers such as the wilson, trask, kilchis, nestucca, and nehalem.i would like to drag the driftboat over yonder and use up some of these silver eggs and pull plugs or backbounce k-16s.I think tomorrow will be my only chance if the rivers shape up and I can pull it all together so any help would be apprieciated.

Just came back from Tillmook Bay. The Wilson and Trask are out. T-Bay looks like a latte & from the jetty at Barview, there is big plume of muddy water outside the jaws. The ocean is very sloppy! The Kilches was barely fishable. If not much rain on Saturday or Sunday it should drop in. Use lots of scent & fish from Kilches Co. park on down. Know how to row if you go, though. The upper stretch is a little technical in spots. There should be good chinook and maybe some still strong chum. Really good on the oars? Think about the Necanicum for the weekend. Probably won't be alone though. If it rains hard tonight or tomorrow, forget about what I just said.

Probably a good call!
It was so crowded, here on the K, and the water was really not ideal.
Wait a while! Wait till this weekend is over, anyway... Too much cf/s!

Jennie was totaly right not to bring the boat over since there were at least 75 other boats on the kilches who past me on the bank. Sounds like the boats wern"t doing any good but I caught a nice 27 pound buck that I fought for at least 10 to 15 minutes. My biggest problem was I never bring a net, and the bank was up to high to beach. Every time I would get him close to shore he would book upstream in the heavy current. Plus my rod was bent in half when I tried lifting him close to shore. Seven boats took the hole over after I got him in. The river looked great to me ,and ther were only one or two other guys on the bank. Most of the people bank fishing were at the bridge, about 30 or more. The other rivers should look good by Monday or so. Hope you found a good hole to fish DON

crowded and less than ideal cond. im glad i decided to forgo the trip looks like i may be able to sneek to the coast on tues and would love to drift the K.Im a little concerned because i have no experiance on this system and dont know what to expect.Ive drifted the wilson, clack, sandy, molalla and trask rivers with no prob so i dont think that the K should be a problem any pointers would be great like where to put in and the better tactics for this system this time of year or if I should be on one of the other coastal sytems I really would like to get one nook this year
