Can anyone recommend a good guide for the Wilson? Believe it or not, I've never drifted the river! Planning on taking the fam-damily on a steelhead trip this Christmas. I'd like to catch some fish, but I'm primarily interested in learning the river. We'll most likely be a party of three.
Thanks.

I could help you out there.
I've been guiding it for 8 years and will be running trips there this Christmas.

I come with referances too.
You'd have a difficult time finding a better or more personable guide! I've never fished with David, but I have fished around him and watched the loads of fish coming off his boat and seen the happy clients. If you have a chance to fish with him, I think you'd be pleased.

I to have heard David Johnson is a very soild guide, although I have never ben a client. If you get a chance call Chris Vertopolis. A customer friendly, fish getting machine. He cares about your total experience. I used him three times and would highly recommend him.

Sheesh David!!! Have you no pride?? I can't believe you would post under all those other names, then say all those great things about yourself  Seriously though, I have had the pleasure of fishing with David at least twenty times, and I can honestly say he is one of the hardest working, honest, and down right friendly guides out there. Oh yeah, he catches fish!!! I could tell ya'll some CLASSIC stories about him, he gets me ROTFLOL every time we go out. I would HIGHLY recomend him for a "family trip" in particular. I've only heard him swear once, but that's one of those "stories"!! Anyhow, there are some other real good folks out there if you can't get Dave--Terry Mulkey, Lee Darby, Chris Vertopolis(sp?)...just to name a few.
Good Luck, and tight lines to ya!!!

We have some great guides on this board who can handle your request.
As already stated above, David Johnson is a great all around guide.
Marty Peterson is another terrific guide and all around fisherman.
I'd highly recommend both of these two guides. Not only are they both great fisherman, they care about helping others. They share their knowledge frequently here on this board, providing tips and valuable insight that we all benifit from. That speaks volumes of their aptitude and strong desire to help others.
Guides that help us deserve our support by helping them.
Bubzilla, you'll have a great trip with either Marty or David.
good luck to all,
Gregg
