I was just down at Wallace and the water is up about a foot from yesterday. It is running pretty fast and is starting to look a little muddy. If it continues to rain hard today then it might not be worth going out but if we get a break for most of the day the water might be in pretty good shape. There is only one boat out right now and it is a Ranger.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Jeremy did you make it out? I know I saw two Bass Trackers and a Skeeter as well as about 5 other boat trailers out there yesterday.
BTW the water did come up quite a bit between Saturday night and Sunday morning but it didn't get as muddy as I expected.

Nope, my dad had his boat radio replace.:hoboy: We went to turn it over and for some reason the brand new battery had no juice. We took it off and tested it with a amp tester and it was holding 11 volts out of a possible 14. Long story short some wires went up in flames (literally) after we hooked it back up and he lost all of his gauges. The water was pretty ugly too and high.
To answer you q, we ended up going to browns island for some bass, and nothing there. We ended up at Walter Werth for some trout. I only heard of 3 fish being caught all day, And one of them was mine. A 11" beast:D.

The upper river is colder than the lower for sure right now and is not fishing as well as a result. Firetiger is a good color right now and the smolt are runnin as well!

Almost makes you think a smolt looking lure would work.
