This is what someone posted on another site:

"Not wanting to waste more gas that need be , I called ODFW for the auto message service. Talked to a rep, and there is NO confirmation system this year up here. So it is anybody's guess if commonwealth Benson bethany and so forth got there fish yet this week.

I think this is not so bad, Last year there message service took forever, and now you may have to actually but bait in the water to see if the fish are there yet. They will be in there by weeks end . If all goes as planned. thats what ODFW said."

I'd like to add that while it is possible to check stocking updates by calling this number, PLEASE don't get in the habbit of doing it everyday, all season long. Or at least don't try to just hit '0' to get a person...use the automated prompt

This number was so innundated by calls today that we (those who are out stocking these lakes) were not even able to call in to report what got stocked. So bad in fact that a message was sent out amongst ODFW comps. to "not call in"...

The stocking report is on the website for a reason, the computers don't have other responsibilities. The week of, means the week of, typically not Mondays (sometimes, but the majority are mid week)

Not trying to sound harsh, but imagine you had a store, and while you were trying to stock shelves, take inventories, paybills, etc, you get hundreds of calls a day asking if the parking lot had a lot of cars, did you get more milk today, etc.

Forgot, you can also call the hatcheries. Usually they have fishing reports, or a person that will tell you if there has been any stocking. The regional office can be pretty busy, we try to take it easy on them as much as possible:flowered:
