Hey all, just bought my new boat, and looking to get out on the water to catch some good eatin size walleye. Certainly wouldnt mind a trophy, but you gotta lean to crawl first right?!!!

Anyway....Anyone know where a guy should start looking. I've heard mouth of the snake, and of course the state record was caught down by boise cascade. Everytime I cross the Blue Bridge, it looks like Boats are set up river jigging perhaps?

ANy other general areas to give a try to?, and what kinds of baits are best for spring. Cranks? worm harness? blade baits? jigs?

Anyone know any good guides perhaps that could show me the ropes once or twice....then I could take the training wheels off and do it myself with a little more confidence!

Any help would be appreciated. Willing to trade some secrets of bass, and catfish in the area.

Or should I not waste my time with Tri Cities and just focus on Mcnary to Crow Butte while starting out?

I haven't fished Tri-Cities, but its becoming a go-to place for early spring walleye. Reports of an 18 pound 12 ounce C&R last week by guide Kurt Sonderman. He's a good fisherman from all reports I have seen. Later in the year, there is too much recreational boat traffic there and everyone is hitting the lakes or Umatilla.
