:help: I don't usually fish for trout, but am taking a kid fishing on Sunday and was wondering were the best place would be to go to keep the attention of an 8 year old??

I think some of the coastal lakes like Hebo Lake are stocked. Check with the original nestucca valley sporting goods in Hebo. Easy place for kids to fish.

i do beleive hagg lake is open!!

Hagg is open but probably alittle slow for kids to fish. Young ones like lots of action.
Oh sorry about not naming the location I figured it was up there. I am located in the Portland area. My thoughts exactly on Hagg Lake. My experience in the past is it is good from a boat or just after being stocked otherwise its not too fun for young ones. What about that pond on Sauvies Island Hadleman I think its called?? Have they stocked anything there yet???
