Anybody know if the ice is off Chick? Should be good this year now that the goldfish are gone.

I heard elsewhere:whistle: that as of this past weekend it was still pretty solid; and looked like it could be for a while. I am looking to get over there late next month; hopefully after a couple of 70* days :thisbig:.

I drove home from Klamath Falls today. Klamath Lake is still completely frozen over! If a lake that big is still frozen, Chick is going to be frozen for a long time. It's also supposed to get down to 15 degrees in Burns tonight. Looks like it'll be quite a while unless I want to get out the tip ups!

From what I've heard, it was good a few weeks ago, but it's getting pretty slushy during the day. I wouldn't trust it.

Nice one Ras, it's been 20 or so years since I went ice fishing, dad and I used to go pretty regularly during the winter out on Prineville Res. Just haven't had the chance and I am not sure that Prineville has really been that well frozen the past couple years.
