Can't say I have a favorite, each have a ton of fish and great cover. Got my biggest bass though between the two in the channel. I have fished that lake a bunch since I was a kid, lot's of great fishing and memories.

If the bite is really tough I would have to live and die in the south lake. I have had a many tourneys where the south lake saved my tail the last hour of the day. Although if im looking for a kicker I'll fish the north lake........

I have had more luck in south lake, but they are both productive.....

North Lake has been the best to me over the last few years, but South is where I have had some of my best days. Had a day there about 10 years ago where we had some thick fog until about 2 oclock in the afternoon. I threw buzzbaits in South Lake until 2. Never put the buzz bait down and caught so many fish I lost track. Nothing huge but a lot of 2-3 lbers. As soon as the fog lifted the wind picked up and we got of the main lake, and jumped into a foot peddle boat and headed down the creek. We caught a ton of fish in the creek all on crawdad pattern jigs. One of the best bass days for Large Mouth numbers I have ever had.

The south lake tends to warm a little faster than the north. Depending on the time of year the clarity can be very good at times it can be only a couple of feet.
