Don't greive for me, for now I'm free
I am following in the path God laid for me.
I took His hand when I heard His call,
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love,
to work, to play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
I found that peace at the close of the day.
If my parting has left a void,
then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss.
Ah, yes, these things I, too, will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish for you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life has been full, I savored much,
Good friends, good times, a loved
ones touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift your hearts and share with me,
God wanted me now, He set me free.

It has taken me many a day to post this,
I lost a good friend, a hunting partner.
Jim and I spent many a day during hunting
season, deer and elk, It steel the talk around
hunting camp, we steel shead a tear or too,
but one thing, Jim well never be forgotten.
Your grandson's miss you, and I do too, tell we
meet again, here on for you.

All I can say is thank you. You chose to post this for your friend but your decision to do so has come at a time when we are stunned by the sudden loss of ours.

We have been dwelling on all the things he didn't get to do by leaving this world at age 44. The poem has been comforting and we will try to think about all the cool things he achieved instead.

Your best friend now has our best friend to hunt and fish with.:flowered:

Thank you,
Diane and Dennis (Wreckless)
