The forecast is calling for 2 to 2 1/2 inches of rain over the next two days on the north coast ... winds that could gust to 60 ... ocean swells that could hit 25 feet! I feel it in my bones, the rivers are gonna rise! ... and then they'll fall and the rivers will be filled with hungry bright fish! How long has it been since there was a forecast like this! I'm excited!

SWEET ! Hope they're actually right this time. We need to get the leaves out and the fish in . Fish on ...river style .

These rivers could definitely use a freshet! Dustin and I spent the entire day hitting as many hot spots(?) as possible in Tillamook country. Best we could do was find few holes with 'dark' fish stacked and hordes of wannabe sportsmen setting the hook on 'em.....usually missing their mouths.

I don't think it is illegal to stand shoulder to shoulder and beat up on 'grey' salmon....but, it is darn stinkin' depressing to watch it.

Like yuuuuuuk...are you really gonna keep that thing?????......and , you are all excited ,too

 I'll be back...when the water runs green

Well....got one trip planned this Saturday for the coast, but since the boat's coming home this afternoon, and rain is supposed to be coming...I might be found lurking on the Clack Thursday for who knows what. Regardless..if we get the rain they're predicting...the dark fish ought to move on up the rivers, and hopefully there'll be some fresh ones coming in.

Time for the first steelies to be showing up too. Show us some pics!!
