 I know we've talked alot about smokers lately, but I would like to hear how others clean their smoker. I use a Brinkman water smoker, which is very ease to clean. I use it for everything but fish.

For fish I use a Little Chief. Works great, but hard to clean. I usually don't mess with anything but the racks and the drip pan. I even heard that washing the aluminum case with detergent can ruin it? Mine has a couple years of crud cooked in/on the inside. Can this hurt anything?

Maybe as was suggested in another thread, I could rig some insulation on the inside giving me a smoothe surface (I'll use the foil backed) to wipe down!

What do ya think?

Not true Steve, I remember when you took that shower just before the ifish BBQ earlier this year.

I spray the racks with the wife's vegetable "stuff" (Pam?), and put a sheet of aluminum foil in the drip pan. I honestly don't think the gunk buildup hurts anything (call it "seasoning" )

Ditto, is there anything to clean besides the racks? Just put them in the sink, and clean them with a plastic brillo pad and soap.
