View Full Version : Tillamook Bait Company - Pic of the day
Fishing was pretty slow today ... guides outnumbered sports by about 4 to 1 due to the North Coast Rendezvous. I saw only 3 other fish by one o'clock when I bailed. This hen took a plug cut herring, injected with Marie's Shrimp/Prawn scent right at high slack. I marked a bunch of fish all day, but with the 9 to 10 foot ocean swells pushing well into the jaws it was tough to keep the boat moving and the bait working. Guess I'll just count my lucky stars!

Hey Pete, Good looking fish, but the guy holding it looks rough. Glad you got one. Someday, I will beat it.

Nice fish Pete! When the fising is slow, a little luck is always welcome. Looks like you found that in bottle form.
So I take it you were out between the jaws battling the big swells. How much lead were you dragging to stay down? I may have to head over for at least one more trip around the bay.

I was bumping 12 ounces out past the CG Tower ... inside there 6 was plenty. Watch the swells .... yesterday they were 9 feet and coming straight in from the west.
